These are the drift signals that tell us the vision has moved away from the people.
The risks
Infrastructure language replaces community value. The public story becomes about the layer and stops being about what it protects.
The first product grows too broad to show the values. It becomes a platform preview instead of a narrow, complete experience.
The company becomes the unexamined steward. Responsibility is claimed without being made visible, and no path to influence exists.
The shared layer becomes the product. The contract is sold before the community has felt the problem it solves.
AI is treated as intelligence first. Capability leads, and the trust story is bolted on after.
Capture is left implicit. Exit and portability are mentioned without being built into the first product's ordinary use.
What to do when a risk shows
Name it in the strategy, find the decision it affects, and fix the decision before it fixes the story. The story follows the structure; it must never lead it. Anyone in the community who spots one of these signals live is invited to call it out.
